The Corporation has only one operating subsidiary in the engineering field with the capability to provide services to satisfy the particular project needs of its client in Indian and abroad.

Kirpalaney & Associates (Engineers) Private Limited (KAPL), headquartered in Mumbai provides engineering & construction services for a broad range of project types; industries serviced by KAPL include hydrocarbon processing, petrochemical, industrial power, environmental and mineral processing.

Activities within the hydrocarbon processing & petrochemical industries, include detail and design engineering for oil, gas, chemical, petrochemical and offshore plants. Industrial power activities include co-generation facilities, nuclear & captive power plant. Mining capabilities include ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as other natural resources.

KAPL is organized to handle projects of all sizes. Emphasizes is placed on the practicality and constructability of each plant design. All plant designs incorporate the vital ingredients of safety, operability & accessibility for efficient plant performance & maintenance. The company strives to produce work of the highest quality at the lower possible cost and in the least amount of time.

In 2008, KAPL signed a joint venture agreement with NB Surveys UK (www.nbsurveys.com), established in India as NB Surveys Kirpalaney Private Limited; to provide expertise with laser scanning to capture process plant images as cloud point, thereafter to model both primitive or intelligent 3D models. NB Surveys UK has been in the business for over 40 years supporting the oil installation in the North Sea; having establishments, other than India in the UAE, Thailand, Singapore and Brunei.

In 2024, KAPL purchased shareholding in Visionaize Inc, USA (www.visionaize.com) to provide support services in AI. Visionaize Inc., is a company leveraging AI-powered smart apps for the process plant industry, to build, monitor, predictive, prescriptive, and have optimization solutions. Visionaize delivers industry leading dynamic, interactive, real-time solutions-based “DIGITAL TWIN”, which unifies and contextualizes enterprise data and drives strategic performance management. The company’s AI platform generates predictive models and 3D models with work packs that can be used to increase uptime, reduce incidents and operational costs. Here is where KAPL assist Visionaize with delivery of process plant models to further process into their platform. The VIZI CoPilot with Gen AI applications for safety, operations and maintenance is an industry leading offering that has opened up new markets and verticals.
